Developer: Management Services

Traditionally, developers have hired management companies to set-up and manage the Homeowners Association while the developer controls the Board of Directors. Unfortunately, in this role, the management company's legal fiduciary duty is to the Homeowners Association, not to the developer.

A University of California research report, which we participated in developing, revealed that one third of all the California developers of common interest subdivisions are sued by the very Homeowners Association's they have created.

Bicksler and Associates serves the interests of the developer on the Board of Directors, and in the turnover and acceptance process, can be invaluable to the developer who wishes to successfully negotiate the pitfalls of later stages of common interest subdivision development.
